The Marathon Starts NOW

In theory, fundraising at churches seems like it is very doable.  You line the visits up, go, then come home.  But this is a little more challenging when you are still in an internship, and filling in the rest of the week with other activities.  Tomorrow we head to the hills, to celebrate the annual Kingsburg MB family camp event with them, and tell them about Peru.  It will be good, and we have many friends who attend that church as well.

Last weekend we spoke at Butler MB, 4 services, 3 different languages (we covered two languages, and got a translator for the other one).  It was great to be at our old "home church" and celebrating with them in the new unique style that has evolved there over the past few years.

The marathon has started.  We have church visits and dessert events scheduled in August now.  Most allow us to stay at home and make a day trip, but some will involve travel to Oregon and possibly south to LA.  We are looking forward to meeting new people and new churches.  If the previous two visits are any indication, it will be a wonderful time with wonderful people!

Take care.
