Grateful (but no pics to prove it)

Well, I had great intentions of taking pictures throughout our trip so we could photo-document the whole thing for you.  But it didn't happen.  Once we got to Grants Pass, the picture taking stopped because we were too busy being with people instead of taking pictures of them.

So I can't show you pictures of our drive on the way to the church with pastor Lowell Stutzman. Such a kind, gracious pastor who loves Peru so very much.  (He has spent a lot of time and love there.)  We were sad that his wife wasn't feeling well this weekend so we didn't get to meet her this time.

But we DID get to meet several families from the church Saturday night at Dairy Queen.  I don't have pictures of our three tables on the patio pushed together as we chatted and laughed in English and Spanish while the kids ran crazy around us.  I don't have many pictures of Sunday morning when Lowell got to preach again and I was blessed to be able to share some of my songs.  (Mikaela did actually take a few other pictures that didn't turn out so well...  Including a picture of her shoe.  )

Grants Pass, Oregon
I don't have pictures of the kids playing happily with new friends or the AMAZING potluck lunch after the service and the best flan I've ever tasted.  I can't show you the happy faces as they fellowshipped together in their green aprons doing the dishes together - this beautiful bilingual/multi-ethnic body of Believers.

But the pictures are in our hearts and I can tell you - after knowing and being with these brothers and sisters less than 24 hours - we were truly sad to say goodbye to them Sunday afternoon.

We really, really love visiting churches.  The hardest thing about it has been when we feel a real connection and know we won't see them again for a long time.  But praise God, they can pray for us and we can pray for them.  And that is what it's all about!

Thank you New Hope Bible Church for your hospitality and love and prayers.  We are so grateful for the time we were able to spend with you!  Que Dios les bendiga ricamente.
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."  (2 Corinthians 13:14)

I´ve noticed that sometimes picture-taking and especially filming actually distracts me from the event itself. Ohh, and I thought about you today, again, when I started grieving... you know. How much more for you and repeatedly so with all of these meetings. Thankful for the huge reunion we will all have in heaven some day :).
