What a year it has been! I was reflecting this week on how a year ago, I was working through the financing details on a large housing project with my co-worker and friend Mike and our consultant Greg. I recall a conference call at 10 pm one day to get the job done! What a change in life has occurred since then, and what an amazing shift in priorities and roles in life.
This week I have been thankful for the little things. A great place to live for the next season. A sunny day with warmer weather, and seeing the mountains near where we are living. A lot of wonderful family events and food! Friends offering to help us move this weekend. A hike up a mountainside and seeing 20 deer prancing across the rocks. Two kind fishermen willing to tow our boat back to the dock... Breakfast with my brother and then again with another friend. Support from many in dealing with the challenges of health insurance for this season. The encouragement that comes from the investment of individuals in our new ministry.
The Ens family has been blessed this year. It is wonderful to be in a place where we sense fully that we are following God's will for our lives. There are challenges in this decision sometimes, but that sense, that feeling, that knowledge of walking on the path He has set before us is exciting! Once in a while, there are also very real experiences that remind us of the place we are headed: Peru!
We look forward to touching base with many of you in the new year. We would love to hear from you, and hope that you too will experience this knowledge of knowing that you are walking in God's will for your lives.
Take care, and Happy New Year!
