A Few Pics

We are enjoying the sights and sounds of Lima these days.  After a few days here, we are beginning to get the hang of shopping for groceries, traveling the main streets by taxi, and even our Spanish is improving I think.  Tomorrow we will visit the Lima RETO MB church here, and are looking forward to connecting with some new brothers and sisters.

Here are a few more pictures of our journey and experiences over the past few days.

Celebrating Christmas, Mexico City style.

The last minutes of flight as we enter Peru.

Landing in Lima - so many lights!  A lot of Christmas lights are up on homes and businesses now too.

Crashing at the Guest House after the journey.

Taxi ride!  Our current mode of transportation.

A wonderful water fountain park we visited today in Lima.  Incredible!

A great display to better understand the discovery of Machu Picchu.

First Nativity scene with a jaguar??

A quick stop on the way home at KFC - with a valet!

A few pictures of our home away from home for a few days:

We appreciate your continued prayers.  God continues to encourage us with people passing through the guest house here, and through emails.  We are adjusting to this new life a bit, but still grieving those we have left in California and elsewhere.  It will be good to arrive in Trujillo this next week and settle down for a bit.

Blessings to you all in this Christmas season.
