The Journey

Yesterday we returned from a 4-day trip to Williams Lake (check out where that is here...) for a retreat. It was a great and challenging time, learning about prayer. We got to stay with our riends Jeremy and Kara Vogt. Jeremy is the pastor of Cariboo Bethel Church in Williams Lake, which hosted the weekend's activities.
The drive to Williams Lake is about 5+ hours through an amazing countryside. The view changes drastically probably 4 or 5 times throughout the journey. Here are some pics:

The landscape was varied and the weather changed drastically throughout the trip. There were windy sections, areas with tunnels through the mountains, dry and rainy portions, and an increasing number of trees changing with the season. It was beautiful, and wonderful to see God's handiwork.

Melissa and I are on a similar journey, learning to experience and process the different landscapes we are presented with on a daily basis. We are consistently challenged in understanding our call here, and what the future holds. It will be good, for that is what we have been promised. Like my experience on this trip, the actual landscape may end up being very much different and unexpected from what I or we originally envisioned.

We will post more pictures of the trip soon. These were taken by our friend Tara or Mikaela on the trip, zipping down the road! Take care.
