Ok, God, so we needed a break on this journey, but really? A whole 2 days? Ok, but I am hoping this makes sense some day! Melissa and I will not arrive, under what we currently know, in our destination til late tomorrow, over 24 hours later than we had planned.
So here we wait, for a delayed flight to Lima. We have made our own attempts to change this plan (other flight options, etc), but for now, it appears we have a single option, and we are at peace with that. God is good, and we are choosing to sit in His will on this one.

Melissa here... In the last couple of weeks I've been reading my great-grandmother's copy of "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom. Wow. What an amazing story. So much trauma and horrible, horrible stuff that she and her family and so many others went through. If I remember her story, it helps me keep this annoyance in perspective. We aren't suffering. We're just having to wait. It's the first of many lessons we are going to get to learn on this trip, I'm sure. And we're trusting that God can and will fulfill His purposes for our trip even though so far what we expected hasn't happened. And I admit there is the temptation to think we might not ever really get there, but I am going to just fix my eyes on God and praise Him for whatever His plans are and keep surrendering mine. (And telling the enemy to keep out too...)
